Keyboard, mouse and controller setup

Local Controls without a physical I/O board

Start Local Controls

  1. At the no-board startup screen, choose Keyboard and Mouse mode (+ Controller). Follow the prerequisite flow; vJoy is still required.
  2. Open Controls for the game profile and bind keyboard/mouse buttons or an XInput controller. DirectInput-only controllers need an XInput translation layer.
  3. Choose Trackball mouse mode for games needing encoder-style mouse input. Mouse and trackball compatibility depends on the game.

Profiles and game library

  1. Select the displayed game name, Load its profile, edit the bindings and Save profile. Loading another profile discards unsaved edits. The running game’s profile activates automatically.
  2. System Emulation starts as an empty library. Use Add a game, choose a supported title and your executable, and confirm ownership of the game and original hardware.

What this mode provides

  1. Local Controls supplies virtual controls. It does not drive physical force-feedback motors or cabinet lamps.
  2. Use the appropriate bindings for each game. The app’s game-specific Controls and Options pages contain the available settings.
