Connect the correct interface
- Use a suitable RS-485-to-USB adapter for the JVS connection and install the adapter’s Windows COM-port driver.
- Launch the app. If prompted, choose JVS Arcade (Namco, Taito, etc).
- In JVS Cabinet Settings, leave COM Port on
AUTOfor discovery, or select the known COM port directly.AUTOtries the Sega USB board and then the COM ports, remembering the one that responds.
Check the cabinet
- Check the player/station selection in JVS Cabinet Settings, then test the controls and calibrate supported axes.
- For a Sega 838-13683 board connected directly by USB, use the separate Sega JVS / NAOMI guide instead.
- Sega driving force feedback uses the separate 838-15069 motor drive board and its COM connection; a JVS input connection alone does not provide it.
No response
- Check the adapter’s COM port in Device Manager and confirm its driver is installed. Reconnect the board or reboot, then try again.
